Sure, there were rains these past few days, but none really so strong that could cause severe damages to phone lines, electric wires and the likes. So, why am I having intermittent internet connection again?!
It’s really is frustrating to be ‘hanged’ in the middle of your work and finally be met by the sign “Problem Loading Page.”
So, what’s the problem with Digitel again this time?
No, I didn’t bother calling them… yet. Why? Because I hate to be patronized with the scripted words “I’m sorry for that inconvenience, sir.” and “Is there something else I can help you with, sir?”
Really now, with companies with such technologies, you would at least expect that they would inform whenever they are doing some maintenance work in their lines… but nada!
We’ve seen the news on TV (for those who were lucky to have electricity), we’ve seen it on the net and read a lot of blog post about it.
I’m sure many who were spared from the wrath of Onyo, and our kababayans who are outside the country would like to send help to the victims of typhoon Onyo.

I could have been P100,000 richer, that is what I was told by the text message I recieved from Globe. The message said I could be the winner of the P100,000 prize for the week, but I still need to text their number - 2346
Now, anyone who knows Globe’s scheming ways knows that once you texted 2346, you will activate a subscription from anything that they are offering, and from then on you’ll be receiving text alerts wherein you will be charged P2.50 each! Read the rest of this entry »
Although, reading from the PIA website, the motivation for 35% increase for members is President Arroyo’s birthday (sounds political, if you ask me). Anyway, for whatever reason as long as we, members, get to avail of these benefits without hassle and prejudice. Read the rest of this entry »
Since the day he was declared the winner, our president Gloria Macapaga-Arroyo has made countless attemps to get in touch with the US president Barack Obama. As we all know, those were all in vain. Of course, with a lot of detractors, those attempts did not look good on her image.
Obama made the surprised telephone call early Saturday morning (Friday evening in the United States). The two presidents reaffirmed each other’s support for the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
Also mentioned in the conversation was the controversial Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), which has been the focus of lots of protest rallies lately, to which the two leaders affirmed commitment to.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde reported the surprised call in a recent radio interview.
Yesterday, I heard in the news that 4 (I think) NPA (New Peoples Army) who have surrendered were given P50,000 cash each by no less than President Arroyo herself to help them start with their new life.
I don’t get it.
All my life I have been a law abiding citizen of this country, to the extent of looking for a pedestrian lane just to cross the streets. At the prime of my life, I was a consistent taxpayer. I was employed then and every tax were deducted automatically from my salary.
The texter’s opinion was said to be about the proposed charter change (Cha-cha) which Enrile was said to be in favor of, as long as only “economic provisions would be touched” so the Philippines can attract investments at this time of the global crisis.
This was during his interview at a radio program. A listener then sent a text message to the station saying that “cha-cha would not be the answer to our country’s problem.”
And Enrile’s reaction? He challenged the texter to a public debate for him to know what the texter’s have in mind. Read the rest of this entry »
Working as a call center agent seems to be ‘in’ thing these days, and with Clark being developed into a freeport zone has a lot of these opportunities with the influx of various locators in the said place.
One such locator is eTelecare who has this announced on PBO online forum through a member Jeff Bonus. I’m re-posting his announcement here for all who might be interested in this opportunity
I’m reposting this as we continue to hire more call center agents.
