I really don’t know how stupid CAP is… or was it us who were stupid enough to believe them before? Of course which parent does not their children to be assured of going to college? Even the high rising cost of education and most commodities, by getting an college assurance plan, I can have confidence that my son won’t have any problem as far as his college tuition fee is concern. That is what is written in the contract - A BINDING CONTRACT!

Now that my son is already in college - prelims, mid-terms and two promissory notes later, still I didn’t get anything from this future-grabbing monster! And now, finals will be here anytime soon, yet not a flicker of hope shining that I would get anything. In fact, when I called, I was even told that processing of claims will take years!

And where is the government through all of these? All those programs - inviting tourist investors (to take advantage of local resources), employment opportunities (thanks to this opportunist investors), and double-funding of projects, they remained silent and distant from this CAP brouhaha…

If it were election time, maybe something would happen. But then again, it’s not.

CAP stole my son’s future, while politicians are destroying his present.

Transport groups are planning to stage a strike on the very same day the President will deliver her SONA, a former government official is said to have already delivered his own SONA. And all of these commotions will definitely continue, days after the SONA has been delivered.

Last Sunday’s topic of Mr. Francis Kong on his weekly column at Philippine Star was about Leadership. And it talks of what makes a great leader and what makes a mediocre one (which I believe shouldn’t even be called a leader).

Reading this article gave me a different perspective on why we should only hire people who are bigger and more knowledgeable than us. The Russian doll gave me a clear view of how we let our organization ‘shrink‘ or ‘grow smaller’ if we let insecurity and fear of competition gets in the way.

So without further delays, I give Francis Kong on Leadership

As I promised to Mr. Francis Kong when I requested permision in re-posting his New Company Policies article here, I would create another post for the Dr. John Maxwell’s Leadership Summit posted as a footer in his article.

Yes, Mr. John Maxwell, the man himself will be at this year’s most exciting and high-impact leadership event! He will be here on June 10, 2008 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel for The John Maxwell Leadership Summit.
