With only a few days left, there won’t be too much of a reminder that can be made to signify how important Earth Hour is.
And this is just a short post to remind everybody that Earth Hour 2009 will be on Saturday, March 28.
Turn off your lights for just an hour, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, a simple act that shows you are voting for Mother Earth and helping create awareness about the impending Global Warming (if it isn’t upon us yet).
Remember, March 28, 2009, 8:30 to 9:30 PM, just one hour of your time.
An hour to be in dark, to contemplate. Better be in the dark for an hour than be in it for eternity.
It’s a small gesture, but it can help create a lot of impact.
Vote for Mother Earth. Participate in the Earth Hour 2009.

2008 saw me posting feedback and reviews of services that I have experienced and seen firsthand. From the water district’s system of charging their subscribers from their employees’ inefficiency, the CAP’s refusal to fulfill their obligations and the government’s indifference to the plight of the plan holders.
I have also blogged about how uninformed employees of Jollibee don’t know the mechanics of their promo. And this even has a follow-up because Jollibee keeps on calling me. Of course, my latest post about a fastfood was an incident brought about by a request for an extra ketchup.
Being a former banker, I know what to expect when I am on the receiving end of the service. That’s why I was so disappointed when I opened an account at PNB, and I was surprised when I was charged for a check deposit at BDO.

Yes! Now I can finally withdraw those money online that I’ve been earning for quite a while. They’re really not much, but they sure can be handy for those small emergencies. Seriously now, I am really happy that I finally got my PayPal verified after a long wait.
I don’t have a credit card, just like I said in my previous post in Hoping to get my PayPal verified, I applied for an EON Card at Union Bank which I was told is accepted at PayPal. After almost two weeks from application I got my EON Card, but I was told that it will take three days for my card to be activated for ATM purposes, and another two weeks before I can apply it at PayPal.

I would like to write positive about them as much as I can. But heck! Let’s start with the negatives. Well honestly, the only negative thing I can say about them is their concept of time, which I can say is very, very poor. So poor in fact that they are three hours late…. AT THE LEAST. I don’t know, maybe that is how it really is in their industry. But as one who always believe that time is the best way to show respect and consideration to others, this makes me frown.
But aside from that, there is really nothing much I can say about the staff of Rated K. They are courteous and respectful in dealing with their subjects (yes, that’s what we are), and they did take care of us. Fetching us from Angeles City to ABS-CBN station, and then back to Angeles City.
As for my encounter with Korina Sanchez… well… I mean well… aaah what I mean to say is… well seriously now, she came late which is really understandable because of the hectic schedules she has. I wonder if they also have the same 24 hours like we do for them to accomplish so much.

Tomorrow, July 28, 2008, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) will deliver her eighth State Of The Nation Address since she assumed office since 2001. And this early, there has been lots of preparations, both from the camps of the administration and the opposition.
Transport groups are planning to stage a strike on the very same day the President will deliver her SONA, a former government official is said to have already delivered his own SONA. And all of these commotions will definitely continue, days after the SONA has been delivered.

Of all the utilities provider here in Angeles City, the water district I believe has the most inefficient billing system. And this is not based from hearsay, but from my own experience. Ironically, they are the only one who penalizes members for late payment.
In my previous business location, it’s very rare that I receive my water bill. If ever I’ll receive it, it’s going to be late… as in two to three months late. Unfortunately, they already carry penalties with them. All the utilities company actually has the same billing delivery system. They are delivered manually by their own people right to the subscriber’s doorstep… supposedly. But like I said, I am not receiving my water bill.

Do they honestly believe I would fall for this?
Last week, I received the following email from Bank Of America (allegedly):
Dear Valued Customer :
We recently have determined that different computers have logged in your Bank of America Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us. If this is not completed by July 2, 2008, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner. Yes! You’re on the right blog, this is not my Sugar Coated World blog. What else can you call a company who steals your children’s future?! They promised to provide for your child’s college education need then just fold up without considering those whose future they destroyed. Or was it really a scam that took so many years in the making?!
