Take your children to private school, please!

Take education for example, the government has special education programs both for grade school and high school. These are SpEd (Special Education), SSC (Special Science Class), and SPA (Special Program for the Arts), to provide quality yet affordable education for children whose parents can’t afford to send them to private schools.
Yet look at the majority of the populations of these schools, they belong from the middle to the upper level of the society. Depriving the poor of having a slot to these programs. Why? Because they are the ones who have the access, the contacts, the information.
And since most of these children have parents who are capable of paying, their parents want them to enjoy the perks that children from private school enjoy. Computers, TV, Airconditioned Rooms, DVD players at every classrooms, lockers, etc. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the government cannot really provide for it. Remember, this is public school which runs on public funds.
The alternative, parents are more than willing to pay for these. In fact, they are the ones who are initiating this. All because they can afford it. They saved on tuition fees, they can spend some more extras for amenities.
Problem is, there are quite a few children who really belongs to the lower class who were lucky enough to get in these programs. Unfortunately, they are required to pay too. Thanks to these rich parents who shuns the private school so they can throw weight around on these special government programs.
Equal rights, equal opportunities, I believe in that. But be conscientious, don’t take the slot the poor should have. You can afford to pay, take your children to private school please!
And if you’re really too thick-skinned to insist on availing these programs, don’t act like you own the school and obliged every parents to pay for your kid to experience private schooling in a public school setting.
